Jane Waite

Jane Waite is an experienced professional in humanitarian and development sectors, currently serving as the Regional Advisor & Head of Social Protection at the World Food Programme since January 2017, with a focus on the Middle East and North Africa. Jane has held various roles at the World Food Programme, including Special Advisor on programme policy and External Partnerships Officer for UN reform. Prior experience includes serving as Deputy Country Director for the International Rescue Committee in Greece and working with GOAL Global as Assistant Country Director in Sierra Leone. Previous positions also include senior roles at British Red Cross, FAO, and Cancer Research UK. Jane's educational background includes a BA in Economics and an MA in European Political and Economic Integration from Durham University, as well as an MSc in International Development Management from the Open University.
