Maria Guimaraes

Maria Guimaraes has extensive experience in managing public and private partnerships, currently serving as a Senior Regional Partnerships Advisor for the World Food Programme since October 2015. In this role, Maria spearheads and manages partnerships in the Latin America and Caribbean region. Additional roles include Partnerships Officer at RISE and High-Performance & Leadership Coach for UN Women. Prior experience includes serving as Head of Strategic Partnerships for Asia and the Pacific at UNICEF and as Regional Corporate Relations Specialist, with a focus on fundraising and capacity building. Earlier in her career, Maria held various positions, including Head of IM & External Relations at WFP Aviation, Senior Consultant at Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, and Business Manager at the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China. Maria holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Leiden and a Bachelor of Arts from University College Utrecht, along with ICF-accredited coaching credentials from Erickson Coaching International.
