Nishat Islam

Nishat Islam is a seasoned professional in program development and donor reporting, currently serving as a Business Support Associate (Partnership) at the World Food Programme since September 2025. Prior experience includes a role as a Specialist in Programme Development and Donor Reporting at BRAC, where Nishat responded to fundraising opportunities and ensured project alignment with donor requirements. As a Senior Program Officer at The Hunger Project, Nishat contributed to the Voter Awareness and Active Citizenry Project, while previous positions included Assistant Coordinator for Development and Training at the Bangladesh Employers' Federation and research roles at DevResonance Ltd and Democracy International. Nishat holds a Master’s degree in Development Economics from South Asian University and a Bachelor's in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from Asian University for Women. Academic background encompasses secondary and higher secondary education in science.
