Salvador Dahan

Director, Chief Risk Officer at World Food Programme

Salvador Dahan has a strong background in risk management, corporate governance, and compliance. Salvador currently holds the position of Director and Chief Risk Officer at the World Food Programme since September 2023. Prior to this, they were a member of the Board of Advisors at Pacto Global da ONU no Brasil from June 2022 to September 2023. Salvador also served as the Vice President of the Integrity and Corporate Responsibility Committee at ICC Brasil from January 2022 to September 2023. Previously, Salvador held executive positions at Petrobras as the Executive Director and Chief Governance & Compliance Officer from April 2021 to May 2023. Salvador has also worked at Nissan Motor Corporation, where they held various roles including General Manager of the Global Risk & Compliance Office, Director of Governance, Risk, Compliance, and Internal Audit for LATAM, and Director of Governance, Compliance & Internal Controls for LATAM. Prior to that, they worked at Gerdau as the Global Compliance Officer & Corporate Security General Manager and at Procter & Gamble as the Corporate Security & Investigations Manager. Salvador began their career at Prot Soluções em Segurança as an Associate Director.

Salvador Dahan has a diverse education history. In 1995 to 2001, they graduated from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie with a degree in law. Then, in 2002 to 2003, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a focus on Risk Management & Corporate Security at FECAP. In 2009 to 2010, Salvador obtained a Master's Degree in Organizational Leadership from Insper Instituto de Ensino e Pesquisa. Salvador further enhanced their knowledge in organizational and community leadership by acquiring a certification from The Rutenberg Institute in Haifa, Israel in 2011. To strengthen their governance skills, they participated in the International Directors Programme at INSEAD in 2022, and obtained a Certificate in Board of Directors from Instituto Brasileiro de Governança Corporativa (IBGC) in 2023. In addition to their degrees, Salvador holds multiple certifications. This includes the CCEP-I (Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional - International) from the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE) in 2017, and the CPP (Certified Protection Professional) from ASIS International in 2003. Salvador also obtained the CSO (Certified Security Officer) certification from Modulo Security Solutions in 2005.
