Carlos Velazquez

Carlos Velazquez has extensive work experience in finance and operations. Carlos started their career as an Auditor at Arthur Andersen & Co. in 1991 and worked there until 1993. In 1993, they joined World Fuel Services and held various roles, including Director Of External Reporting & Accounting Manager, Director of Finance and Operations - Latin America, Director of Strategic Planning, and Chief Financial Officer of different divisions such as Aviation, Land & Marine, and Marine. In 2012, they became the Chief Accounting Officer & SVP of Financial Operations at World Fuel Services, and later served as the SVP Global Financial Operations. Their tenure at World Fuel Services ended in 2017.

Carlos Velazquez earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Florida State University - College of Business from 1989 to 1991. Prior to that, they obtained another Bachelor's degree in Animal Sciences from the University of Florida from 1985 to 1989. In 2016, Carlos attended the MIT Sloan School of Management for an Executive Program in Leading Operational Excellence. Additionally, they obtained certification as an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in October 2020.
