Andre Doren has extensive experience in communication and external relations, currently serving as Programme Manager (Deputy Director) in the Department of Communications at the World Health Organization since July 2015. Doren also holds roles as Chair of the Polio Advocacy and Communications Team and Senior Strategist for External Relations at WHO/GPEI. Previous positions include Chief of the External Outreach Service at the United Nations Office at Geneva, Group Director of External Relations and Resource Development at Transparency International, and Head of External Relations at the IFRC. Doren's career began in public affairs with the Canadian Red Cross and involved multiple director-level communications roles within the Government of Canada, particularly with CIDA. Doren earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the Université de Montréal and further education at the University of Ottawa.
