Charalampos (Babis) Sismanidis has extensive experience in the field of medical statistics, currently serving as Team Lead for the Global TB Programme at the World Health Organization since 2009, after previously holding the position of Statistician within the same program. Prior roles include Lecturer in Medical Statistics at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine from 2003 to 2009 and Statistician in the Department of Epidemiology at St George's Hospital Medical School from 1999 to 2003. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Medical Statistics from the University of London and an MSc in Medical Statistics from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, as well as a BSc in Mathematics from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
