Faraz Khalid serves as a Research & Innovation Officer and Technical Officer for Coordination for Universal Health Coverage at the World Health Organization since October 2019. Responsibilities include co-leading the synthesis of country case studies on primary health care and COVID-19 responses for 20 Eastern Mediterranean Region (EMR) countries, developing primary health care-oriented models of care, and managing significant funding partnerships across multiple countries. Prior to this, roles included Health Systems Consultant and Health Financing Consultant at WHO, as well as positions at the Asian Development Bank, Palladium, UNICEF, and various health financing initiatives. Khalid's academic credentials include a PhD in Global Health Policy and Management from Tulane University and an MSc in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
