Giorgi Pkhakadze

Educational Consultant at World Health Organization

Giorgi Pkhakadze is an accomplished public health professional with extensive experience across various organizations. Currently serving as a Board Member for Relief International, an Educational Consultant for the World Health Organization, and a member of the Independent Assessment Committee of Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, Pkhakadze has a strong focus on health and migration, vaccine assessment, and governance. Additionally, as Chairman of the Public Health Institute of Georgia, Pkhakadze plays a key role in national health initiatives. Previous roles include Independent Expert for the National Research Foundation of Ukraine and international adviser for the EBRD, alongside an academic career as Professor and Head of Public Health/Epidemiology at David Tvildiani Medical University. Pkhakadze holds a PhD in Public Health and multiple certifications in health economics, public health functions, and emergency medicine.
