John Flanagan currently serves as the Head of Logistics Support Services at the World Health Organization, a position held since November 2014, focusing on global policy and service delivery for various logistical operations. Previously, John Flanagan worked at UNICEF Geneva from January 1997 to October 2014 in multiple roles, including Chief of Procurement, Chief of Procurement & Logistics, and Emergency Logistics Officer, overseeing procurement and logistics operations across various countries and emergency situations. Earlier experience includes serving as Chief of the Joint Movement Control Unit for UNPROFOR, providing logistics support to peacekeeping forces in the Former Yugoslavia. John Flanagan holds a Master’s Degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management from Cranfield University and a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems Management from New York University, along with memberships in professional organizations related to purchasing, supply, and logistics.
