Maroun Karam

Maroun Karam has extensive experience in information technology and management within the health sector and hospitality industry. Currently serving as Chief of Regional Operational Support & Services at the World Health Organization since August 2014, Maroun has held various key positions including Chief of Business Technology Solutions and Regional ITT Manager for EMRO. Prior roles at the World Health Organization from November 2001 to August 2013 included Infrastructure Management Officer and Global Service Desk Team Lead, among others. Earlier career experience includes serving as Operations Manager for Hotels and Tourism Management Co. and as Cost Comptroller at Saint George Yacht Motoring Club. Maroun holds a Master's degree in Hospitality Management and a Bachelor's degree in Business Computer Science, both from Université Saint Joseph.
