Ousmane Madiagne Diop

Ousmane Madiagne Diop is a seasoned scientist and coordinator of the Global Polio Laboratory Network at the World Health Organization since June 2010. Prior to this role, Ousmane served as the Head of the Medical Virology Unit at Institut Pasteur de Dakar from May 1991 to June 2010. Ousmane's educational background includes a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Microbiology - Virology from University Denis Diderot (Paris VII), a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Agricultural Development from University Panthéon Sorbonne (Paris I) and National Institute of Agronomy (Paris-Grignon), a Master's degree in Cell Biology and Physiology from University Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris VI), and both a Bachelor of Science (BS) and a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Applied Biology and Food Industries from University Creteil (Paris XII).
