Sara Hersey

Sara Hersey is an accomplished public health professional with extensive experience in epidemic prevention and response. Currently serving as the Director of Collaborative Intelligence at the WHO Hub for Pandemic and Epidemic Intelligence, Sara has also held significant roles such as Senior Technical Advisor at Resolve To Save Lives and Senior Health Specialist at The World Bank. Previous positions include Country Director for both Sierra Leone and South Sudan at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, as well as an Epidemiologist in South Africa. Sara's expertise is further complemented by work as a self-employed surveillance consultant. Sara's educational background includes degrees from Tulane University and Wellesley College.
