Aki Koto

Aki Koto is currently a Partner at World Innovation Lab. Prior to this, they held various positions at Twitter, Digital Garage US, Inc., and Digital Garage, Inc.

Koto began their career at Digital Garage, Inc. in 2003 as a Project Manager. In 2006, they moved to CGM Marketing, Inc. as a Product Manager. Aki returned to Digital Garage in 2011 as an Investment Director for DG Incubation, Inc.

In July 2011, Koto became the General Manager/Vice President of Digital Garage US, Inc. Aki was a founding member of DG717 (http://www.dg717.com/), the co-working space ran by Digital Garage US. Aki also oversaw investment activity on behalf of DG Incubation.

In January 2010, Koto joined Twitter as their Japan Specialist. Aki worked with the Twitter International team to accelerate Twitter Japan's business growth. Her responsibilities included project management between Twitter HQ and Digital Garage (who ran Twitter Japan in Tokyo), Twitter advertisement for Japan, verifying new product for Japanese users, moderating the cloud-sourced Japanese translation community, and localization and product management.

Aki Koto has a bachelor's degree in architecture from Kansai University. Aki also has a certification from the Institute for the Future in IFTF Foresight Essentials.

They work with Vicky Shum - Partner, Operations & Marketing, Tyson Homma - Partner, Finance, and Cheri Morohoshi - Partner, Investor Relations. Their manager is Gen Isayama, General Partner & CEO.
