Joel Mills has a diverse work experience in the gaming industry. Joel is currently employed as the Co-Founder & Principal Gameplay Engineer at World Makers, where they contributed to the development of gameplay systems. Prior to this, Joel was the Co-Founder & Analytics Director at Baseline Games, where they focused on analytics and data analysis. Joel also worked as a Gameplay Engineer at Improbable, contributing to game development projects. Joel has extensive experience as a Senior Software Engineer at Automaton Games, where they developed Mavericks: Proving Grounds, a massively multiplayer shooter game. Additionally, they worked on another game called Deceit as a Software Engineer, implementing core gameplay features. Earlier in their career, Joel was a Software Engineer at RSBuddy, contributing to the development of a game toolkit. Joel also briefly worked as an Office Administrator at DoCare Limited.

Joel Mills completed their A Levels at Malmesbury Sixth Form from 2011 to 2013. Joel then went on to pursue a Mathematics BSc degree at the University of Nottingham from 2013 to 2016. No specific field of study was specified for either of these qualifications.
