Arjun Thilagaraj

Research Officer (production & Product Development) at World Mosquito Program

Arjun Thilagaraj is a Research Officer at the World Mosquito Program since September 2019, specializing in Production & Product Development. Responsibilities include mass production of Wolbachia-infected Aedes aegypti eggs for establishment in Laos and optimizing new mosquito rearing equipment. Previous roles include testing deployment mechanisms and artificial blood formulations as part of the Product Development and Supply team, as well as mass production for international shipping and gaining ISO 9001 certification for rearing processes. Prior to this, Arjun worked at RMIT University on a project focused on the molecular characterization of Bioluminescent Dinoflagellates. Arjun holds a Bachelor of Technology in Biotechnology from Manipal Institute of Technology and graduated from RMIT University in June 2018.
