John Degois

John Degois is a versatile choreographer and director with a significant body of work in contemporary dance and film. Currently serving as a director and choreographer for multiple companies, including JohnDegois and Cie Des pieds au mur since January 2021, John Degois has created impactful pieces like "Birds," influenced by the challenges of confinement. Collaborating with François Lamargot at the CCN Créteil et Val-de-Marne for the Kalypso festival, John Degois's work explores the intersection of hip-hop, burlesque, and gestural theater. Additionally, significant projects such as "Tandem" and "Ma Nuit Américaine" highlight personal narratives and the complexities of relationships. John Degois has been instrumental in fostering artistic development through workshops and training, exemplified by the recent formation at the Centre national de la danse.
