Gloria Tamale is an experienced professional in animal health and public health surveillance. Currently serving as an Animal Health Information Officer and Disease Status Officer at the World Organisation for Animal Health since September 2022, Gloria previously held the positions of Senior Veterinary Inspector and Veterinary Inspector at the Ministry of Agriculture Animal Industry and Fisheries since August 2016. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology and Biostatistics, a degree in Transforming Public Health Surveillance from the Africa CDC Institute for Workforce Development, Project Monitoring and Evaluation, and a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine, all obtained from Makerere University.
