Barbara Kayanja is an experienced leader in the fields of health equity, microfinance, and poverty alleviation, currently serving as the Regional Director for the East Africa Ministry Team at World Renew since November 2016. Prior roles include East Africa Regional Director at Global Health Corps and Trickle Up, where efforts focused on empowering extreme poverty households and fostering health equity. Additionally, Kayanja was the Chief Executive Director at Gatsby Microfinance Limited, enhancing the growth potential of small and medium enterprises. Earlier in Kayanja's career, an Area Project Officer at the Poverty Alleviation Project involved recruiting partner agencies and conducting capacity building training. Kayanja's diverse background in program coordination and community health initiatives is supported by a Master of Science in Development Management from The Open University and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work and Social Administration from Makerere University.
