Kinshuk Govil

Kinshuk Govil is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in software engineering and product development, currently serving as the Product Engineering Lead at the World Resources Institute since March 2023, focusing on the development of GFW Pro. As the Founder of Open Climate Tech since March 2020, Kinshuk Govil leads a non-profit organization dedicated to creating open source technologies for climate change mitigation. Previous roles include Software Engineer at Fuego, where research on machine learning for wildfire detection was conducted, and Principal Engineer at Google, where contributions were made to the Bebop app, which evolved into Hire by Google. Earlier experience includes a tenure as Principal Engineer at VMware, leading the development of innovative features for the ESX hypervisor, as well as work at bebop.co and volunteering at Benetech and Hands-On Universe, developing machine learning software and educational tools. Educational background includes studies at Stanford University and the University of California, Berkeley.
