World Resources Institute
Liz Saccoccia is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in water security, data analysis, and environmental education. As the Water Security Manager at the World Resources Institute since October 2016, Liz has researched water-related conflicts and developed predictive models for environmental-driven conflict events. Additionally, Liz leads the Resource Watch Data Team, overseeing the research and integration of significant spatial data sets for an environmental monitoring platform. Previous roles include a Research Fellow at NASA Lifelines, an Ecological Security Fellow at The Council on Strategic Risks, and a Community Environmental Education Promoter with the Peace Corps. Liz holds a Master of Science in Analytics from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Geology and Environmental Science from William & Mary, alongside a data science bootcamp from General Assembly.
