Maanas Nukala

Maanas Nukala is currently serving as a GIS Data Operations Engineer at the World Resources Institute, where responsibilities include streamlining and managing data processes for the Global Forest Watch platform. Previous experience includes roles as a Research Assistant at Conservation International, focusing on area-based conservation systems, and various research positions at The George Washington University and Stanford Woods Institute for the Environment, where tasks involved data cleaning, model evaluation, and geographic data management. Maanas has also interned with organizations such as Defenders of Wildlife and the American Museum of Natural History, gaining expertise in geoinformatics and remote sensing. Maanas holds a Bachelor of Science in Biological Anthropology and Geographic Information Systems from The George Washington University and is pursuing a Master of Science in International and Development Economics at the University of San Francisco.
