Clara van der Pol

Clara van der Pol is an experienced professional in the field of statistics and economics, currently serving as the Acting Director of the Statistics Department at the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) since January 2009, where previous roles included Department Coordinator and Programme Officer. Additionally, Clara is a member of the International Statistical Institute since 2013. Prior experience includes serving as an Empirical Research Assistant in Development Economics at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen and a Marketing Assistant at Santillana. Clara holds a Research Master's degree in International Economics and Business from the University of Groningen, earned cum laude, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Management from the same institution, supplemented by studies at Université Paris Dauphine - PSL.
