Dora Castaneda has a diverse work experience in the field of international trade and law. Dora currently works as a Dispute Trade Lawyer at the World Trade Organization. Prior to that, they pursued a Ph.D. at Università Bocconi and worked as an International Trade Consultant at various companies. Dora also has experience as a Junior Legal Officer at the World Trade Organization and as an Of Counsel at Mayer Brown, where they oversaw strategic negotiations and advised on trade agreements. Dora was a Partner at Intrade Consultants, providing consultancy on EU customs classifications and bilateral EU agreements. Dora also worked as an Associate at Hammonds LLP and as Of Counsel at the Embassy of Guatemala in the United States, where they assisted with negotiations and provided advice on international law and agreements.
Dora Castaneda has an extensive education history. From 2013 to 2018, they pursued their Ph.D. at Università Bocconi, specializing in International Law and Economics. Before this, in 2003 and 2004, they attended Georgetown University Law Center where they completed their LL.M. in International Legal Studies. Dora acquired their foundational knowledge in law from Universidad Rafael Landívar, where they obtained their Doctor of Law (JD) degree from 1994 to 1998.
