Ismaila Dieng serves as the Director of Information & External Relations at the World Trade Organization since December 2022. Prior experience includes leadership roles such as Chief of Communications & Advocacy at UN Women and Deputy Chief of Media Relations at the International Monetary Fund, where strategic communication for major policy initiatives was developed. Ismaila also held positions as Director of Communications & External Relations at the African Development Bank Group and Team Lead for Communications Africa at the IMF, focusing on regional strategies and relationships with stakeholders. Earlier roles include Regional Media & Advocacy Advisor at Oxfam. Ismaila holds dual Master's degrees in Journalism and Strategic Communications from Columbia University, along with an educational background at Oxford University as a Reuters Fellow and foundational studies at the University of Dakar.
