Shelly Wolkowicz has a diverse work experience. Shelly began their career as a Teacher Assistant at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 2013, where they helped with the Political Economy class. In 2016, they worked at the Israel Government Careers, serving in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Policy Planning Bureau and the Ministry of Transportation's Spokesperson Office. From 2017 to 2019, Shelly was the Israeli Delegate for Tech and Innovation at the OECD. In 2020, they joined Startup Business UK as a Global Procurement Manager before moving on to become the Chief Financial Officer at the World Union of Jewish Students later that year. Currently, Shelly holds the position of Chief Executive Officer at the World Union of Jewish Students.
Shelly Wolkowicz completed their Bachelor's degree in International Relations & Business Administration from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 2014. Shelly then pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem from 2015 to 2020. Additionally, they participated in a student exchange program at Sciences Po in 2017 and at Peking University in 2016. In 2016, they also attended a Public Diplomacy Workshop at Bar-Ilan University.

The World Union of Jewish Students (WUJS) is the international, pluralistic, non-partisan umbrella organisation supporting national independent Jewish student associations all over the world. Founded in 1924 with the aim of “Fostering the unity of Jewish students worldwide. Striving to ensure their participation in the fulfillment of the aspirations of the Jewish people, its continuity, and the development of its religious, spiritual, cultural and social heritage.” The official representative for young Jews at UNESCO, the Jewish Agency, the World Zionist Organization, the Jewish National Fund and the World Jewish Congress.
