Cherie Wai is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in youth advocacy, social media marketing, and community engagement. Currently serving as a Youth Advocacy Engagement Specialist at World Vision Canada since April 2021, Cherie has promoted impact giving through significant media engagements and launched a TikTok channel to engage younger audiences. Previous roles include freelance social media marketer and photographer, where Cherie supported Toronto small businesses, and an Inner-city Ministry and Social Media Marketing Intern at Child Evangelism Fellowship of Ontario, focusing on at-risk children. As a former Youth Advocate for World Vision Canada, Cherie led campaigns addressing global issues affecting vulnerable children. Cherie's work as a Marketing and Communications Specialist for a Fairtrade organization and co-founder of DEVINA further demonstrates a commitment to ethical practices and social impact. Cherie holds a Bachelor of Environmental Studies in International Development from the University of Waterloo and is a recipient of the 2019 Heroes for Children - Ruth Roberts Award.
