Max Boxleitner is an experienced project manager at WWF Germany, overseeing initiatives such as "Lynx Thuringia" and "Thuringia's old growth forests of tomorrow" since January 2020. Prior to this, Max worked as a scientific tour guide for DER Touristik GmbH from June 2016 to February 2024, specializing in expeditions to destinations including Spitzbergen and Greenland. Max also served as a research assistant and doctoral candidate at the University of Zurich from September 2014 to January 2019, focusing on a dissertation regarding glacier development and landscape evolution in Central Switzerland. Max holds a Doctorate in Geography from the University of Zurich, a Master of Science in Applied Polar and Marine Sciences from the University of Hamburg, and a Bachelor's degree in Geography from the University of Zurich.
