Silke Düwel-Rieth has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Silke is currently the Director of Sustainable Business & Markets at WWF Germany since April 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Business and SDGs at Deutsches Global Compact Netzwerk from June 2020 to March 2022. In 2020, they also completed a Master's thesis in the field of sufficiency, digitization, and sustainability at Fachhochschule Eberswalde. From May 2018 to December 2019, they worked as the Corporate Responsibility Lead GSA and Executive Management at EY. Before that, they held the position of Marketing & Business Development Region East at EY from September 2015 to May 2018. Silke'searlier experience includes being the Head of the event department and project management at media.net berlinbrandenburg e.V. from January 2011 to January 2015.

Silke Düwel-Rieth completed their Master of Arts degree in Strategisches Nachhaltigkeitsmanagement from Fachhochschule Eberswalde in the period 2017 to 2020. Prior to that, from 2004 to 2010, they pursued Cultural studies and obtained a magistra artium degree from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, specializing in Journalism, book sciences, and cultural anthropology. From 2001 to 2004, Silke worked as a Verlagskauffrau at Springer Science+Business Media. In 2023, they are expected to attend Quadriga University of Applied Sciences for a Zertifikatskurs in Public Affairs, focusing on Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communication.
