James Tunningley

James Tunningley is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in technology ecosystems, innovation, and leadership development. As Director & Co-Founder of Architect Systems since July 2024, James focuses on partnerships and investments in leading global technology sectors. James also serves as the Lead Ecosystem Architect at Protocol Labs, driving R&D and startup initiatives. Additional roles include mentorship at the University of Oxford’s Crankstart Programme, founding Frontier Horizons to support disruptive technologies in emerging markets, and advising various organizations, including LEAD Edu and MYCOMEUP Media. With a background in diplomacy through the UK Civil Service, particularly as Counsellor at the British High Commission in Nairobi, and a Fellowship at The Royal Asiatic Society, James combines a strong educational foundation in Chinese Studies from the University of Oxford with a commitment to advancing innovation and leadership in diverse contexts.
