Alex Tilley

Alex Tilley is a marine ecologist and fisheries scientist who works as a Senior Scientist at WorldFish, focusing on methods to leverage fisheries for poverty eradication and improved nutrition. They have previously served as a postdoctoral fellow at the Smithsonian Institution and directed a marine laboratory for the Wildlife Conservation Society. Alex founded the Talking Oceans Foundation, which aims to integrate conservation research with community outreach in Latin America. They hold a PhD in Marine Biology from the University of Wales, Bangor, and have extensive international experience in both academic and practical applications of marine resource management.
