Rohit Agarwal

Rohit Agarwal has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Rohit currently holds the position of Managing Director, Global Research at WorldQuant, a role they assumed in June 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Regional Chief Research Officer and Global Research Director at the same company. Rohit also held the position of Deputy Global Research Director from January 2015 to May 2018. Earlier in their career, Rohit worked at WorldQuant as Director of Research (India Region), Vice President, and Analyst.

In 2009, Rohit had an internship as a Quant Associate at Barclays Capital, where they worked on the Equity Derivatives Desk and developed a product called 'Veritas' based on an intelligent technical algorithmic strategy.

In 2008, Rohit had internships at Indian Tobacco Company and HSBC. At Indian Tobacco Company, they were part of the Agricultural Business Division, where they investigated rural information and communication technology (ICT) projects and made suggestions for future initiatives. At HSBC, they worked with the Premier Banking arm in Mumbai, analyzing mutual funds' holdings and performance to detect skews for high net worth individuals (HNIs).

Rohit Agarwal completed their B. Tech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, from 2006 to 2010.
