Wendi Yen Huestis, MBA

Wendi Yen Huestis, MBA has a diverse work experience spanning over several organizations and industries.

Starting in 1992, they worked as the Director of Business Development, Music and Technology at Contois: Tradition and Technology for four years.

Wendi then moved on to the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University, where they served as a University Alumni Fundraiser and Prospect Researcher from 1997 to 2000.

In 2000, they joined the Ethical Culture Fieldston School as the Director of Annual Giving, a role they held for seven years.

Following that, they worked at Room to Read as the Director of Development, North America; Europe from 2007 to 2014.

Wendi then joined the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights organization in 2014 as the Chief Development and Communications Officer (CDO) until 2016.

From 2016 to 2018, they served as the Development Director at Kiva Microfunds.

In 2019, they took on the position of Chief Development & Executive Officer of Excellence (CDO) at Successful Fundraising Strategies.

Currently, Wendi Yen Huestis holds the position of Chief Advancement Officer at Worldreader, a role they assumed in 2023.

Wendi Yen Huestis, MBA graduated with a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management from Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management in 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a BA degree from Cornell University where they were a Cornell National Scholar, with a major in Government and a concentration in French. Additionally, they completed a semester abroad program with EDUCO at Université Paris-Sorbonne in 2000.

Wendi also holds a Certificate from Columbia University, received in conjunction with IIN (Institute of Integrative Nutrition). Wendi has a strong interest in horticulture and completed an Applied Horticulture and Horticultural Business Services program at Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, where they studied subjects such as Soil Microbiology, Urban Design, Plant Health, Botany, and Plant Propagation.

In 2023, Wendi will pursue a Certificate in Impact Investing from Columbia Business School.

Wendi has also obtained several additional certifications throughout their career. These include being a Music Teacher Member of the National Guild of Piano Teachers and a Piano Teacher Member of the American College of Musicians. Wendi has also completed various certifications related to Salesforce, such as Account Data Strategies, App Customization Lite, Salesforce Basics for Nonprofits, Scrum and Kanban, World's Largest Lesson - The Global Goals, Donation Management Badge, Fundraising Basics Badge, and Salesforce Basics Badge. Furthermore, they have certifications in Difficult Conversations: Talking about Race at Work from LinkedIn and How to Understand and Take Action on the Sustainable Development Global Goals from the United Nations Global Impact.

Lastly, Wendi holds a Horticulture Student certification from BBG (Brooklyn Botanical Gardens) and a Pardot Basics certification from Salesforce.
