Brenda Turner

Brenda Turner is an experienced tour director and educator with a robust background in storytelling and communications. Currently serving as a Course Leader for WorldStrides and a Tour Director for EF Education First since 2014, Brenda also operates as an independent contractor, leveraging expertise as an ITMI Certified Tour Director and a licensed tour guide in Washington, D.C. and Philadelphia. Prior experience includes a 28-year career at USA WEEKEND Magazine, culminating in the roles of Executive Editor and Vice President, where Brenda excelled in multimedia storytelling and team management. Educational qualifications include certifications from the International Tour Management Institute and various tour guide training programs, alongside a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and history from Penn State University and a Maynard Fellowship from Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management. With extensive travel experience across the United States and internationally, Brenda has visited 49 states, 36 countries, and 135 UNESCO World Heritage sites, enhancing tour experiences through rich narrative techniques.
