Charlene York

Charlene York serves as the Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel at Worldwide Express since July 2017, where leadership in all legal matters including compliance, franchising, corporate governance, and intellectual property is provided. Previously, Charlene was a partner at Akerman LLP from March 2009 to June 2017, focusing on franchise law and contract negotiation. Additionally, experience as a Franchise and IP Attorney at Williams Mullen from September 2006 to February 2009 involved similar responsibilities in counseling businesses. Early career positions included legal internships and clerking roles, culminating in a J.D. from Baylor University School of Law and a B.A. in Political Science from Trinity University.
