Erik Koep

CEO at Worn Again

Erik Koep is an award-winning, accomplished executive and business driver whose entrepreneurial instincts and blue-sky thinking have carried multiple early-stage technology companies through rapid and continuous growth.

A founder and entrepreneur in his own right, Erik describes himself as ‘technology agnostic’, with a unique ability to blend technology and industrial insights into successful commercial ventures. Thanks to his mix of academic and real-world experience, he has a track record of leading teams through research phases to high-volume manufacturing.

Prior to joining Worn Again Technologies, Erik served as R&D Site Director for Italian automotive OEM Eldor Corporation, Chief Technology Officer for glass and ceramic coating manufacturer C-Bond Systems in Houston (TX, USA) as well as Professor of Electrochemistry at the University of Barcelona, Spain.

He holds a PhD in Electrochemistry from the Georgia Institute of Technology (GA, USA) as well as Bachelor’s Degrees in Physics and Philosophy from Emory University (GA, USA).

Erik is also an avid endurance athlete. He competed for the United States National Rowing Team at the 2001 World Championships and is still involved with his alma mater as a sponsor, supporter and part-time coach.
