Laurie Swezey

Laurie Swezey is a seasoned healthcare professional with extensive experience in wound care management. As President and CEO of WoundEducators.com since April 2008, Laurie leads the development of 24/7 online courses tailored for wound care certification. Previously, Laurie held positions including Nurse at Wound Care Social Network and WOCN Nurse Consultant at Gentiva Health Services, where Laurie assessed evidence-based treatments, implemented educational programs, and improved patient outcomes. Laurie's foundational experience includes roles as Home Care Nurse at Southside Hospital and Visiting Nurse Service of New York, as well as Wound Care Nurse at Southside Hospital Wound Healing Institute. Laurie holds a BSN from Villanova University, a Certified Wound Specialist certification from the American Board of Wound Management, and WOCN certification from Wicks Educational Associates.
