Alexis Pizzi, MS, PMP has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Alexis began their career in the School District of Clay County as a Substitute Teacher, where they developed foundational skills in communication, time management, and team collaboration. After that, they worked as an Office Manager for NC Regional Contractors, where they sharpened their office and conflict management skills.
In 2014, Alexis transitioned to The Fitness Studio Downtown as a Personal Trainer while pursuing their Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling. Alexis offered one-on-one fitness training to clients of all ages and backgrounds, believing in the strong mind-body connection and witnessing the mental health improvements in their clients.
Alexis joined the Wounded Warrior Project in 2018 and held multiple roles within the organization. As a Project Odyssey Specialist, they facilitated multi-day mental health workshops for post-911 veterans struggling with PTSD, MST, and other mental health issues. Alexis then transitioned to the role of Project & Implementation Specialist, gaining insight into other aspects of the non-profit world. Alexis later took a chance on herself and became an IT Project Manager within the same organization, streamlining processes and making them more user-friendly for their teammates.
In 2022, Alexis pursued a new opportunity as a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern at Alexis Pizzi Counseling. While working there, they gained experience in providing mental health counseling services.
Most recently, Alexis took on a role as an Experiential Therapist at Charlie Health in 2023.
Throughout their career, Alexis has demonstrated a commitment to personal growth and helping others, particularly in the areas of mental health and veterans' support.
Alexis Pizzi, MS, PMP completed a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling/Counselor from Capella University, graduating in 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Psychology from Florida State University in 2012. Alexis has also attained various certifications, including a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in May 2022, as well as certifications in Business Continuity, The Basics of Scrum, CPR/AED/First Aid, and Washington State Telemedicine Training, among others. They have also completed several online courses on topics such as project management, leadership, negotiation, and design thinking, through platforms like LinkedIn.
