Joyesha Blake has a diverse work experience spanning different sectors and roles. Joyesha began their career as a Special Education Teacher at Grove Street Academy from February 2010 to February 2013. Joyesha then worked as an Expanded Day Educator at The Community Place of Greater Rochester, Inc. from September 2013 to June 2014.
In 2014, Joyesha joined the Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor/Career Specialist. Joyesha held this role for over five years, from November 2014 to February 2020.
From February 2020 to June 2021, Joyesha worked as the Director of Residential Life at Brightstone Transitions. In this position, they were responsible for providing a safe and supportive environment for staff and clients, implementing treatment plans, and overseeing client progress.
In March 2021, Joyesha transitioned to the education sector and became a School Social Worker at Mountain Education Charter High School. Joyesha held this role until September 2022.
Most recently, Joyesha joined the Wounded Warrior Project in June 2021 as an Adventure Based Mental Health Specialist II.
Joyesha Blake obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from St. John Fisher University, where they dual-majored in Secondary Education and History. Later, they pursued a Master's degree in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling/Counselor at the University of Kentucky.
