Alex Granieri has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. They are currently the Head of Product for Woven by Toyota's Special Projects Group since April 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Lead Mechanical Design Engineer in the Level 5 Autonomous Vehicle Division at Woven by Toyota from July 2021 to April 2022.

Before joining Woven by Toyota, Alex worked at Stanford University as a Volunteer Industry Advisor from September 2013. They also worked as a Woodworking Instructor at Palo Alto Adult School from January 2022.

Alex gained extensive experience at Lyft, where they held the position of Lead Mechanical Design Engineer in the Level 5 Autonomous Vehicle Division from May 2018 to July 2021. In this role, they led engineering efforts for the development of autonomous vehicle systems.

Prior to Lyft, Alex worked at Facebook as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer from August 2014 to May 2018. Their responsibilities included designing critical composite parts for an autonomous high-altitude aircraft and consumer electronics. They also oversaw manufacturing of consumer-facing products.

Before Facebook, Alex worked at Lab126, a subsidiary of Amazon, as a Mechanical Engineer/Product Design Engineer from June 2012 to August 2014. They contributed to the design of Amazon-powered consumer electronic devices, including mechanical, electro-mechanical assemblies, and opto-mechanical fixtures.

Alex began their career at Tesla Motors as a Mechanical Engineer in the Prototype Vehicles Group from June 2008 to November 2011. They also served as a Mechanical Engineering Intern in the same group from June 2008 to December 2009.

Additionally, Alex worked as a Bicycle Mechanic at Campus Bike Shop from June 2006 to September 2006.

Overall, Alex Granieri has gained extensive experience in mechanical design engineering, autonomous vehicle systems, product design, and teaching.

Alex Granieri completed their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics from Santa Clara University between 2006 and 2010. After that, they pursued a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University from 2010 to 2012.
