Eric Keranen

Eric Keranen has extensive work experience in software engineering. Eric is currently a Senior Software Engineer at Woven by Toyota since May 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Toyota Research Institute for three years, from March 2019 to May 2022, also as a Senior Software Engineer. At Toyota Research Institute, they focused on developing a vehicle software platform for automated driving, including building messaging middleware, cloud apps, sensor drivers, and kernel profiling.

Before joining Toyota Research Institute, Eric worked at Garmin International as a Senior Software Engineer from June 2018 to March 2019. Eric also held the role of Software Engineer at Garmin International from May 2015 to June 2018. During their time there, Eric developed infotainment integration for voice recognition, steering wheel controls, and phone apps on multiple Honda vehicles using C++, Qt 5, and Java on Android 5 and 6. Additionally, Eric started their career as a Software Engineer Intern at Garmin International from May 2013 to May 2015.
