Ethan Sorrelgreen

Ethan Sorrelgreen has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Ethan most recently worked at Woven Planet as the Head of Product, starting in February 2023. Prior to that, they were the Sr. Director and Head of Product - Geo at Woven Planet from August 2021 until February 2023.

Before joining Woven Planet, Ethan served as the Chief Product Officer at CARMERA from October 2016 to April 2022.

Their previous experience includes working at Amazon as an Engineering Manager - Maps, where they led teams responsible for geospatial data processing, machine learning, and map applications from July 2013 to July 2016.

Ethan also worked at Apple as a Software Development Manager - Geo Team from October 2011 to June 2013, where they grew a small team into a large organization and was responsible for data development, analysis, and business development for data licensing contracts.

Earlier in their career, Ethan held roles at NextBus as a GIS Manager, Lead GIS Engineer, and GIS Analyst, where they managed a small team responsible for processing schedule and location data for transit agencies.

Their first professional experience was as a GIS Research Assistant at Urban Strategies Council, where they performed data acquisition, analysis, and cartography for research projects focused on urban poverty.

Ethan Sorrelgreen obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Astronomy with a minor in Physics from Haverford College, which they attended from 1999 to 2004. Furthermore, they pursued a Certificate in Geographic Information Science with a focus on Geography at San Francisco State University from 2006 to 2007.
