Katsuhiro Sakai

Katsuhiro Sakai is an accomplished professional in the field of automated driving and mobility as a service (MaaS), currently serving as the Head of Driverless e-Palette and Head of MaaS Automated Driving Core at Woven by Toyota since January 2021. Prior experience includes leadership roles in automated driving at Toyota Research Institute - Advanced Development and the Toyota Research Institute, where significant contributions to MaaS development were made. Katsuhiro also held various management positions at Toyota Motor Corporation, leading projects focused on autonomous driving and advanced technology development. Notable achievements include the development of object-tracking software and innovations in path planning algorithms. Katsuhiro began a career in engineering at Toyota Motor Corporation and holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Tokyo.
