Quang Hieu Pham

Senior Software Engineer at Woven Planet Holdings

Quang Hieu Pham has extensive work experience in the software engineering field. Quang Hieu is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Woven by Toyota, where they lead a team of 5+ engineers and focuses on model profiling, optimization, and quantization for deploying ML-heavy autonomy stack onto vehicles. Prior to this, they worked as a Software Engineer at Woven by Toyota, where they developed a free-space prediction model and set up an annotation pipeline for bird's-eye-view map elements prediction in the perception stack for static obstacle avoidance.

Before joining Woven by Toyota, Quang worked at Meta as a Research Intern in 2020, and at Lyft as a Software Engineering Intern in the same year. During their time at Lyft, they improved the performance of a LiDAR-based detection model on large vehicles and led the migration effort of the detection code base from Tensorflow to PyTorch.

Overall, Quang Hieu Pham has a strong background in software engineering, with experience in ML-heavy autonomy stack development, perception stack development, and model optimization.

Quang Hieu Pham received their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from VNUHCM - University of Science from 2010 to 2014. Later, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) from 2016 to 2020. Quang Hieu also obtained a certification in Linear and Integer Programming from Coursera in November 2013.
