Saki Asakawa has a diverse work experience in various roles related to UX research, accessibility, and web development. Saki is currently working as a UX Researcher at Woven by Toyota. Prior to that, they worked at Google as a User Experience Researcher, where they conducted studies to evaluate product releases and collaborated with cross-functional teams to improve user feedback. Saki also worked at NASA as a UX Researcher for Eclipse Soundscapes, where they led communication in the team and designed an accessible learning experience for blind and low vision communities. Additionally, Saki worked at WearWorks as an Accessibility UX Researcher, at New York University as a Graduate Research Assistant, at The Story of Our Schools as a Web Developer, and at Carnegie Mellon University as a Research Associate. Saki has published academic papers and led projects related to accessibility in various organizations. Earlier in their career, Saki worked as an Accountant at MILIAL RESORT HOTELS Co., Ltd. (Disney).

Saki Asakawa completed a Master of Science degree in Integrated Design and Media at New York University from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, they pursued a non-degree program in Human Computer Interaction at Carnegie Mellon University from 2016 to 2019. Saki also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Design from Musashino Art University, which they obtained from 2012 to 2017.

In addition to their formal education, Saki has obtained several certifications. In June 2021, they earned the certification of "2021 SJE Event Volunteer" from 48in48 and completed courses in "UX Research for Agile Teams" and "UX Research: Journey Mapping" from LinkedIn. In April 2021, they participated as a volunteer in the "Women's Build Event 2021" organized by 48in48. Saki also acquired certifications in "Creating Accessible Websites" from Udemy in March 2021, "Accessibility for Web Design" from LinkedIn in February 2021, and "Getting Started in User Experience," "Swift 5 Essential Training," "UX Foundations: Research," and "iOS 14 Development Essential Training" from LinkedIn in February 2021. Prior to that, in November 2020, they obtained a certification in "Social and Behavioral Research - Basic/Refresher" from CITI Program, A Division of BRANY. Additionally, Saki completed the "Maya 2016 Essential Training" course from LinkedIn in October 2019.
