Siba Mohanty

Siba Mohanty has extensive work experience in the field of software engineering and development. Siba started their career at NIIT GIS Ltd as a trainee in Business Development in 2008. Siba then joined Vidteq India Pvt Ltd as a GIS Analyst, where they gained expertise in PostgreSQL, PostGIS data management, and web map production. Siba then moved on to become a Business Development Manager at Vidteq in 2009. In 2011, they became a Tech Lead at Vidteq India Pvt Ltd.

In 2012, Siba joined Google as an API Developer and worked on developing APIs. Siba then joined Mindteck in 2014 as a Module Lead, where they worked as an individual contributor to various projects, including the International Atlas - Observation of economic complexity with CID, Harvard. Siba also created quick prototype applications for internal and R&D projects using Python Flask, Postgres, and Emberjs.

In 2017, Siba was promoted to the role of Project Lead at Mindteck India Limited, where they continued to lead projects until 2020. Siba then joined AZUGA TELEMATICS PRIVATE LIMITED as a Senior Software Engineer, and subsequently moved to Woven by Toyota in the same role. Currently, Siba holds the position of Senior Software Engineer at Elpis IT Solutions Pvt Ltd, which they started in 2020.

Siba Mohanty received an M.Sc in GeoInformatics from Symbiosis Institute of Geoinformatics, attending from 2006 to 2008. Prior to that, Siba Mohanty earned a BE degree in ECE from Berhampur University, where they studied from 2001 to 2005. In addition to their formal education, Siba Mohanty obtained a certificate in Data Manipulation at Scale: Systems and Algorithms from the University of Washington on Coursera in February 2017.
