Barry Owen

Barry Owen has had a diverse range of work experiences throughout their career. Barry started their career as a Software Engineer at NBI in 1988 before moving on to roles such as Director of Engineering at Adobe, where they grew the consumer-product engineering organization and oversaw the development of award-winning consumer software products. Barry then joined Petopia.com as the Director of Program Management, improving engineering processes and quality while leading teams in functional and technical design and architecture. Barry also served as VP of Engineering at Wego Systems, where they built and managed a high-performance engineering organization. Barry continued their leadership roles as the VP of Engineering at LightSpeed Software and later as the CEO/CTO at Red Dog Software, where they established and grew the company and developed flexible CMS solutions. Barry also worked as a CTO consultant for ReadyPortal, where they managed the creation of a long-term technology strategy for the product. Barry co-founded iGuidePro and served as a Board Member, bringing professional planning and advice to anglers. Most recently, Barry has been Chief Solutions Architect and VP of Solutions Engineering at Wowza, a trusted provider of reliable video solutions.

Barry Owen has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Colorado State University. Barry also has unspecified education experience in Electrical Engineering and Computer Design from Arizona State University.
