Shannon McNamara

Shannon McNamara has a diverse range of work experience. Shannon began their career as a Seasonal Retail Sales Representative at Shannon Airport in 2014, where they handled customer queries and ensured security within the store. In 2015, they worked as an Inbound Marketing Specialist at visitorM, responsible for onboarding new customers and providing ongoing support. Shannon then transitioned to a Sales Assistant role at Shannon Airport, where they advised customers and maintained stock levels. In 2016, Shannon worked as a Sales Assistant at Primark Stores Limited, providing customer service and processing payments. Shannon then gained experience in web technology, working as a Junior Designer and later a Full Stack Developer at BlueChief Social. At BlueChief Social, they redesigned the company's website and created website campaigns and a job recruitment website. In 2018, Shannon worked as a Graphic Designer at Headcount Engineering, where they produced various documents using the Adobe Creative Suite. Most recently, they joined WP Engine in 2019 as a Technical Support Specialist L1 and progressed to the role of Senior Technical Specialist. In their current role as Technical Support, Shift Lead, Shannon is responsible for resource allocation, monitoring support activity, and identifying trends in customer queries and issues.

Shannon McNamara has a strong education background in the field of technology and multimedia. Shannon completed a Higher Diploma in Creative Multimedia Programming from Limerick Institute of Technology in 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a BSc (Honours) degree in Internet Systems Development from the same institute in 2016. Shannon also holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Internet Systems Development from Limerick Institute of Technology, which they earned between the years 2012 and 2015. In terms of secondary education, Shannon completed their Leaving Cert in 2012 from Scoil Carmel. Additionally, they have obtained multiple certifications from various institutions, such as Gymnasium and Lynda.com, in software development, graphic design, and web development.
