Matt Richmond is a seasoned ecologist with over 20 years of experience in ecological restoration and public access projects. Currently serving as Principal Ecologist at WRA since January 2010, Richmond has developed expertise in executing large-scale restoration initiatives. Additionally, Richmond holds the position of Vice Chair on the Board of Directors at Golden State Land Conservancy since June 2020. Previously, Richmond was the Owner and Principal Biologist at Redwood Coast Associates from January 2002 to January 2010, specializing in Environmentally Sensitive Habitat Areas (ESHA) assessments in Mendocino and Humboldt Counties. Early career experience includes serving as a Botany Lab, Herbarium, and Plant Taxonomy Assistant at Humboldt State University from August 1999 to July 2001. Richmond earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Botany from Humboldt State University in 2002.
