Geoff Deigan

Geoff Deigan is the Owner and President of WRD Environmental, a company they founded in 1997 to create sustainable landscapes. With 30 years of experience in program and project management, Geoff has led various large-scale environmental projects and community engagement initiatives.

In 2013, Geoff became the Executive Director of Prairie Crossing Charter School, where they played a key role in the construction of additional classrooms and a gymnasium, earning the school a LEED gold rating.

Geoff also serves as a Board Member for the Illinois Network of Charter Schools, advocating for high-quality public education and equitable resources for students in Illinois.

Geoff is a Board Member of the Green Schools National Network, which promotes healthy, equitable, and sustainable schools across the United States.

Geoff joined Conserve Lake County in 2016 as the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors, assisting in land preservation and restoration efforts.

Additionally, they served as a Board Member for the Waukegan Public Library Foundation, supporting the library's mission of empowering learning and discovery.

Earlier in their career, Geoff worked as Construction Unit Manager for Roy F. Weston Inc, overseeing large-scale remediation projects in the Midwest region.

Geoff Deigan attended Southern Illinois University, Carbondale from 1980 to 1985, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Education.
